VERRRRRRY NICE! A HOT AMERICAN BEAUTY

Posted by STEVE M on

Really....... Well whatever did you expect????   Obviously it wasn't the soldering iron shown here in a 1957 advert - I'll bet this little number outsold a staid Solon - Henley, or Adcola at a ratio of 100:1

For those of you who were expecting a nice expose (in more ways than one) on Mena Suvari or some other American sweetie, I am sorry to disappoint you.

For those of you that do not understand the above reference, it relates to American Beauty, the 1999 American film, directed by Sam Mendes and written by Alan Ball in which Kevin Spacey stars as Lester Burnham, a 42-year-old advertising executive who has a  midlife crisis which manifests itself as an infatuation with his teenage daughter's best friend, Angela who is played by Mena Suvari.   Isn't she lovely, I say this as she looks a bit like Mrs Mullard Magic when viewed through slightly misted up (beer) goggles!!!
