The 6X5G full wave rectifier is unusual in it's use of a common cathode with anodes mounted vertically over the cathode tube and the valve is rated for pulse operation up to an impressive PIV of 22 kV.
In routine use the maximum reservoir capacitor is limited to 4 µF and the minimum series resistance has to be 150 Ohms.
The classic envelope is approximately 36 mm in diameter and excluding the IO base pins is approximately 88 mm tall.
Type 6X5G was first introduced in 1936.
