AX-569, 417A, 5842, CV3789, VT-277, SMALL SIGNAL, B9A
These high gain special quality triodes were designed originally as a telephone repeater amplification device, however, their small package and correspondingly large performance has made them popular for many audio applications.
At the top of the 'desirability tree' are the Western Electric tubes in second place, are the 'VK5' coded devices by Amperex, sold to the US Air Force under notation AX-569 and it is a small stock of these that we have available as stock showing date codes from 1967
Characterised by a much rounder sound than the Western Electric device whilst having and incredibly rigid electrode cage and the D getter these are superb devices and the cachet of having specially selected USAF devices cannot be discounted.
We only have limited numbers of these beauties so buy and try and come back for more to lay in a stock at a keen price point.
