Shipping & Return Policy

 

GENERAL

 

These Shipping and Returns Conditions are current and effective as of 14th May 2018 and have been reviewed for accuracy on 1st March 2023.

It is important that you read the Shipping and Returns Conditions carefully.  Together with our Terms & Conditions, in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, they govern our relationship with you in relation to this website and your purchase of goods from it.  We would stress our advice to you to keep a hard copy of these Terms and Conditions and your order details for your future reference.

SHIPPING

Wherever possible, your purchases will be shipped typically within 10 working days of the order contract being made and you will be advised of shipment and tracking details by return e-mail. However, all orders will be shipped 'without undue delay' and within a maximum 21-day turnaround but should this not be achievable we would immediately contact you by return e-mail to advise this and discuss ongoing options. 

Shipping is subject to a minimum charge irrespective of order weight or physical size.  The shipping charge is quoted prior to order placement and hence is transparent.  Our minimum charge covers not only the cost of carriage levied by the acting carrier but covers other incidental costs incurred in packaging, processing and facilitating despatch of such orders. 

For customers that are unhappy with our  minimum shipping charge  we would  respectfully  remind them that placement of an order with us is by their choice and the customer reserves their rights to either progress or not to progress an order.

We offer within the UK, dependent upon order value, Traceable Shipment, Recorded Delivery and Special Delivery shipping by The Royal Mail. 

Royal Mail Special Delivery comes under our UK Next Working Day Delivery category.  Please be aware that Working Days are defined by Royal Mail as Monday to Friday hence if you order an item after 16:00 on a Thursday, unless additional carriage is specified and paid for a Saturday delivery then delivery probably will not be until 13:00 the following Monday.

For Royal Mail Special Delivery if an order requiring this service is received prior to 11:00 on a work day such an order will be shipped on that day as this timepoint allows us to pick and pack prior to our daily collection. 

Conversely, should an order requiring Royal Mail Special Delivery is received after 11:00 requiring this service on a working day, as this post dates our daily collection, the order will not be collected until the following day.  In addition, we work with many other leading courier services who have similar standards for Next Working Day deliveries.  

We offer Worldwide shipping to many international destinations, excluding  the EU, excepting Norway and Switzerland for items up to 2kg mass by Royal Mail International Signed For/Tracked service and for items of greater than 2kg mass by a trackable service using a choice of leading courier services.  Please be aware that cross border shipments may be subject to customs inspection delays and that you as the purchaser may be liable to your countries levied customs and excise duty charge on the goods we supply.

Our shipment methods meet the requirements of the Consumer Rights Act (2015) for 'loss or damage in transit.'
 
RETURNS, RESTOCKING & REFUNDS

In accordance with the Consumer Contract Regulations (2014) Returns/Exchanges are subject to any return shipping charges at the expense and arrangement of courier services by the purchaser.

The only exception will be in the instance of faulty or not fit for purpose goods being returned which are sold outside the 'collector’s item' category (See our Terms & Conditions on the Conditions of Use page) where return postage by a service specified by Mullard Magic will be paid by Mullard Magic upon receipt of the returned goods.  Should the purchaser choose to return such goods by an alternative service to that specified and should such alternative service have a different cost to the service specified by Mullard Magic then any cost differential will not be reimbursed.

In accordance with the Consumer Contract Regulations (2014) and the Consumer Rights Act (2015), we offer a very generous return policy in which a "no quibble" return is accepted provided that customers contact us within 14 days of goods receipt and that goods are returned to us within 14 days hence and such goods must be received by us in an identical condition to that when originally shipped.   

Returns cannot be accepted where the following reasons are cited: -
A consumer cannot claim against Mullard Magic for defects that are brought to his/her attention before the sale, or if the consumer examines the goods before purchase and any defects should have been obvious.

A consumer cannot claim against Mullard Magic for damage he causes or if he/she simply changes his mind about wanting the goods.

A consumer cannot claim against Mullard Magic if he/she chose the product himself /herself for a purpose that is neither obvious nor made known to Mullard Magic and he/she then finds that the item is simply unsuitable for that purpose.  

A consumer has no rights to claim against Mullard Magic for faults that appear as a result of fair wear and tear.

Provided these conditions have been met, in consideration of the above listed exception and cited reasons, a refund will be processed without undue delay by the payment type and method used to transact the original order contract.
