I smiled wryly when I read about David Byrne the other day.  As some of you know he was the frontman for the Talking Heads, the New Wave American rock band. Apparently poor David is full of remorse and has apologsed for wearing black and brownface in an unearthed promotional video, calling it a "major mistake in judgement." In the clip for the rock band's concert film 1984 "Stop Making Sense," the star is shown interviewing himself, while donning black and brown face to impersonate several non-White people.  The 68-year-old musician took to social media on Tuesday 1st September 2020...

I did laugh when I saw the Cossor advert from the late 1920's and pictured below: - Just look at these fateful words, "......His clutching thieving fingers cannot harm this new Cossor...."    For those who are wondering why this bumbling prose has tickled my pique, its because I was once accused of having clutching thieving fingers!@#$%!  Alas my career in radio crime didn't take off and I did have ambitions of cat burgling an Enigma machine but I don't have a head for heights and besides, Enigma heists are passe as they have been done before.   Anyhow, enough...
