Don't you just love this picture from 1937 proclaiming the massiveness of a TV screen?
Quite an achievement for 1937 and having a diagonal size of 150 inches: -
Even today, some 85 years later this is an impressive size with a handful of models available at this size along with an impressive price point.
But people just want bigger and better so, here in 2023, we have the World's largest telly, its the LG , a 325-inch monster screen that will set you back tens of thousands of pounds. Aimed at "super-luxury" homes, the Extreme Home Cinema is one of the largest LED screens ever made.
It uses Direct View LED technology to deliver a cinema-sized screen at the ultra-HD resolution of an 8K television. The screen is so big that it lets you watch multiple TV channels at once. Photographs of the TV suggest you could watch up to 20 channels at the same time using what LG calls its UltraStretch feature.
Alas, I couldn't afford the bi-annual health checks for this screen at £21000, let alone have a room big enough at Mullard Towers to put it in!!!!!!
