PUSSY TREATED VALVE SHOOT-OUT REVIEW

Last time I described the exciting treatment that Noctode, our cat provides for the valves I have on sale. It has long been my opinion that Pussy treatment of valves gives EXACTLY IDENTICAL audible effects to that provided by cryo treatment of valves, but ho-hum, that’s a very subjective claim so I sought a more scientific unbiased opinion. To this end, I lobbied a famous reviewer from the hifi comics, sorry magazines, to do a blind comparison on my behalf. The day dawned and the critical ears of Xmas Cipher-Thicket were called upon to perform.I tried to do the best I...

Sputnik 1 or Спутник was the first man made satellite launched by the Soviet Union into an elliptical low Earth orbit on 4 October 1957. The satellite comprised of a 58 cm (23 in) diameter polished metal sphere, fitted with four external radio antennae designed by the Antenna Laboratory of OKB-1 led by Mikhail V. Krayushkin. Each antenna was made up of two whip-like parts of 2.4 and 2.9 meters (7.9 and 9.5 ft) in length. This configuration ensured the transmission of a spherical radiation pattern resulting in an omnidirectional signal of equal power that was not hampered by the...

And here it is, can you guess what it is yet ...............? Yes, you've guessed right, the famed, the world renowned Pussy Treatment, forget cryo treatment, forget painting your fuse ends and CD rims green with a felt tip pen and forget buying expensive mains leads hand plaited by Morecambe virgins, this is the real deal. What you see above is our beloved Devon Rex pussy cat, Noctode,...

This operation was undertaken by the Royal Navy & British Army Commandos on the 28th March 1942. St Nazaire was targeted because the loss of its dry dock would force any large German warship such as the Tirpitz or Bismarck to return to home waters via...

Well, in over 25 years of collecting vintage radio items, I have never seen another of these so I thought.... there's a nice blog entry. What we have for your delectation is a miniature flint and wick petrol cigarette lighter, made of nickel plated or painted brass standing just about two inches in height. Separate the two halves of this lilliputian marvel and you see a strike wheel flint mechanism and wick in the bulb part. The mechanism was manufactured by Benay of London and you can see their cartouche stamped by the thumb wheel. The ultimate cachet has to be the bulb...
