This rectifier type had the distinction in 1933 of being Marconi – Osram’s first ever indirectly heated rectifier valve. Many other manufacturers developed and marketed an equivalent with Mazda introducing the equivalent UU4 and UU5 in 1935 and 1936 respectively.

Showing superb performance it has a place alongside that other famed B4 based produce the PX4 & PX25.

This is a rare GEC version made at the shaw WW2 shadow factory.
