The ECF82 is a triode pentode which was introduced in 1954. It's design purpose was in VHF radio and television between 80 MHz to 220 MHz. Bands II and III for which the valve would be used as a mixer with the triode as local oscillator.
These valves saw incorporation into many classic guitar valve amplifiers and classic and contemporary valve hifi amplifier designs such as the Dynaco ST 70, McIntosh MR-67, McIntosh MX-110, Radford STA15, Radford STA30, Sofia , Vox AC10.
