Just look at this advert from 1941 from Furzehill. Just look at this device incorporated into an advertisement that shows the precision delivery of a bomb down the chimney of a Boche factory, stirring stuff... but look close, for doesn't the contraption dangling from the (Halifax?) bomber remind you of something?....... what, not even the drop lead from a R1155/A1134 Lancaster/Halifax intercom system - it does to me and here's a photo to remind you. WHAT JONES PLUGS DOES MY T1154 AND R1155 TAKE?

 An e-mail landed this morning from a customer wanting to know what Jones plugs he would need for his R1155 and T1154.    I didn't ask whether or not his station had em all ripped out, however, here is a nice little aide memoir to anyone needing to remind themselves of pin configurations of these connectors for this particular use BUT don't forget that shown below are the CHASSIS configurations and that you need the corresponding connector ie plug to socket & socket to plug to match....

Sticking with the cat theme, some of you may be aware, Stephen Fry and myself are chums from our university days. You may not know that Stephen has been very busy writing the screenplay for a remake of the Dambusters which will be distributed on release by Universal Pictures & Studio Canal. I am pleased to report that due to my connection with Stephen, Mullard Magic has been asked to help with the radio installation in the Lancaster mock up that has being used for filming. I WANT A LANCASTER BOMBER RADIO

So you want a Lancaster bomber radio huh, well, for many the R1155 and accompanying T1154 are often the collectors holy grail, that said, unlike the Lanc pictured below, not all Lancasters were fitted with this radio combo:- Many Canadian Lancasters of course were fitted with the famed Bendix RA10 - which like the R1155 did double duty as both HF receiver and DF set whilst the transmission side was taken care of by the partner Bendix TA12 transmitter and a very fine sight they appeared with their functional grey dials and slightly smaller case sizing and I reckon this...
