I WANT A LANCASTER BOMBER RADIO

So you want a Lancaster bomber radio huh, well, for many the R1155 and accompanying T1154 are often the collectors holy grail, that said, unlike the Lanc pictured below, not all Lancasters were fitted with this radio combo:-

Many Canadian Lancasters of course were fitted with the famed Bendix RA10 - which like the R1155 did double duty as both HF receiver and DF set whilst the transmission side was taken care of by the partner Bendix TA12 transmitter and a very fine sight they appeared with their functional grey dials and slightly smaller case sizing and I reckon this idea may have been mooted after seeing the economy of fit in their more common home aboard USN Catalinas: -

Another authentic permutation would be the fitment of the BC348 - a fine receiver accompanied by the AN-ART13 transmitter just like those normally seen in the USAF B-29 Boeing Superfortress:-

Although I have examples of all the above mentioned kit, out of the lot, I still prefer my BC375 but as this weighs a ton, I suppose this was why it never saw duty in a Lancaster, so, which fit do YOU want to own?

You could make a start and do a lot worse than considering the purchase of either.........
