On offer today is an example of the legendary Leak Troughline III FM tuner offered for recommissioning. Some say this is one of the best FM tuners in the World.
The cosmetics are mixed, the outer grey case is mint, the fascia has a few marks and the black paint is missing in parts (can be retouched) and one of the knob brights is missing. BTW - The rear stud/wingnut case securing fixing is present - I just forgot to rephotograph after taking an interior shot.
Whatever, from the inside it doesn't look to have ever been messed with so should present a straightforward job to get going.
The Trough Line 3 specification and valve (tube) complement is identical to the Trough Line II, however the front panel was re-designed to match the corporate style of the new Leak transistor amplifiers such as the "Stereo 30".
Valve Complement: 2xECF80, ECC84, ECC85, EF80, EM84, EZ80.
This was amongst the contents of the workshop of an engineer and 'silent key' radio amateur, who had been involved in many aspects of amateur, military and professional wireless over many years. I do not have the time or facilities to test it, so it is being offered as 'for parts 'sold as seen’
The fitted plug top has been severed from the mains supply wire which itself has been marked with a PAT FAIL label annotated with the instruction FOR RESTORATION ONLY.
