1959 The Hacker Brothers left Dynatron and established a new company Hacker Radio. They aimed at the top end of the market, and gained an enviable reputation in the trade.

1977 Due to an increasingly competitive market and cheaper imports, Hacker went into the hands of the receiver in May 1977.
