NATIONAL UNION & THE ALARM THAT SAVED MIDWAY IN 1942!

Just look at this advert from National Union Radio & Electronic Tubes from 1942:-

It is rather stirringly patriotic the way that early warning of the "Jap attempt to capture this strategic US outpost" was thwarted due to vigilant patrol aircraft pilots "powered by" National Union valves.  There again,  here we are 77 years later and I am sure we will soon have an outraged nomophobic little snot of a snowflake along in a minute to tell me how we need to look forward and not backwards and not paraphrase racially offensive language from a bygone age - in much the same way similar commentary was espoused in the runup to Remembrance Sunday in the UK..........
