NAGRA RECORDINGS AND SONOGRAPH INTERPRETATION, EEH MY LITTLE ZEBRA
Share
You might call it a Sonograph, I may call it a Spectrogram, Auntie Mildred knows them as Voiceprints but whatever you call them the technique of interpretation is everything.
They say a picture paints a thousand words but can you read them? Whether or not its a Mass Spectrograph or NMR trace, an Oscillogram or a Soundgraph you have to know what you are looking at and how to read it.
Take a look at this Spectrogram I recorded using my trusty Nagra III
Can you read it and like me know that the speaker is not British but American - alas I am not good enough to tell you which of the 91 genders the speaker identifies as, that said I have a 50% chance of being right though.
