I just love Sarah Moore and her TV programme, Money For Nothing where she obtains items from the tip and repurposes them for the new millennia.
I was down at my local tip the other day when I chanced upon a chap about to hoist what he described as an RAF radio into the Small Appliances skip. We struck up a conversation and he very kindly let me have it when I said I was going to follow Sarah's example and "upcycle it." I think you will all agree that I have done a fantastic job as you can see from the BEFORE picture:-
And now look at the ADDED VALUE and aesthetically pleasing repurposed item - I threw one of the boring looking pieces into the Small Appliances skip when I next took the hedge clippings to the tip. Here is my AFTER picture: -
As Percy Bysshe Shelley would have said, Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!' Nothing beside remains. Round the decay of that colossal wreck.
If any of my readers would like me to "update" their old RAF radio similarly, then do please contact me for a quotation.
DISCLAIMER: NO HISTORIC ARTIFACTS OR CLANDESTINE RADIO GEAR WERE DESTROYED BY MYSELF FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS BLOG ENTRY - ALTHOUGH MRS MULLARD MAGIC STATES I AM A NUMPTY I AM NOT - QUITE - THAT STUPID!
