But please, do leave sufficient "spends" for Mullard Magic offerings at  prices which are so low you can buy the whole year around and not just in January.!!!!!!

I was speaking to my oldest and dearest friend Jeff who wanted a new phone for his sweetie who we shall call "Rocky" - his experiences mirrored mine in that he wasn't enticed by a £10 reduction which wouldn't cover buying a budget pair of boxing gloves and she's only little.   Me, I was equally nonplussed remaining unmoved to buy a washing machine with a similar monetary reduction.  Savings of such paucity are hardly an incentive to buy when during Black Friday the same items were available for the underwhelming but improved reduction of £30.

Whatever happened to the good old days of buying a telly for a fiver as shown in this 1956 photo showing a supremely satisfied and wise chap who had bagged himself a Bush TV22, look closely its that chap's dad  from The Chase TV programme, Mark Labbett,  I am convinced of it: -

Also commiserations to the other buyers who vanquished the HMV 1807 pile and I'll bet they had a fair few visits from the TV repair man, hopefully clothed more demurely though, the buyer, not the TV repair man of course..............
