A great little hybrid morse key switch unit, in pretty good cosmetic condition. There a few surface scuffs and superficial scratches.

Comprising the following:-

  • CLT 26001-B Morse Key: WWII-era nickel-plated brass, closed circuit key made by Lundquist Tool & Manufacturing Co., of Worcester, MA: stamped C.L.T., 26001-B and used by the U.S Navy.
  • ADMIRALTY PATTERN SWITCH UNIT 5820-AP164548 . Serial number No. GEC 184  U.F
    • 5820 refers to mounting base, electrical equipment

The morse key (a type J38) would have probably arrived in the UK during WWII. Post-war, it was acquired by the UK Admiralty Royal Navy Training School and used in conjunction with the GEC switch unit.

The knobs were changed from WW2 US Navy to British Military knobs in the 1950s.
