Well, here is a scarce leviathon, I have had reports that this is one of only 8 of these 1930 designed Admiralty 5 valve TRF receivers dating from a 1930 design that still survive.

Everything about this design is the best that could be made at the time, battleship (apt!) standards of construction with its 27kg mass and control action smoothness thatyou can swoon over.  A landmark design that waa one of the earliest that the Royal Navy used for shipboard communication in the 1.5 to 23MHz bands.  A very scarce and desirable survivor.
