Well, what a special device, essentially a U52 mounted on a UX4 base, this is a superb valve indeed.

Showing good emission on test,  will you give it a home?

Device test data: Ia = 120.0mA range, GOOD  A1 78/ A2 80.

We test our rectifiers using a calibrated and standardised AVO VCM163 on the specified range.  This VCM gives a qualitative estimation of emission as you can see from the photo, the GOOD range bar runs below the numerical uA/Ig scale with the GOOD range between 51 - 100.  The above device test data, shows the max current range specified and a record of the numerical reading within the GOOD range obtained.

The 5Z3 is a high power rectifier and was typically used in small radio transmitters, high power audio amplifiers, and modulators for amplitude modulation (AM) transmitters.  Much like the famed U52, the filaments are inverted 'v's of coated ribbon. The valve is mounted on a  UX4 base pins,  The type 5Z3 was first marketed and sold in 1936.
